Time to get started AGAIN!

Here it is a year later and all my intentions to keep this blog have fallen to the wayside. So today, I decided to quit being such a slacker and get going. I am not a scrapbook person (surprise I know) so this is the only way to preserve my family's history. So I am going to try harder from now on. My girls are growing up so fast and I am not recording it. I don't want to regret someday all the "Wish I had" moments.

Hi! We have been to Utah and Michigan the last month. Tomorrow we leave again for Utah. Then latter next week I am off to Washington DC with my sister and my neice. So I haven't forgotten or decided not to "Blog" Just can't find the time until we get home and settled. Hope summer is going great for everyone. Take care and catch up with us the first of August.

Donuts for Breakfast!

Our day started out with donuts for breakfast. I am not sure if it was the sugar but Megan decided to cut her hair for the summer. We think it turned out very cute. While she was getting her's done, Hailey decided to take 2 inches off. She likes her hair braided or in a ponytail. Didn't want too much taken off so that it would still go that way.

These two may be sisters but they are as opposite as night and day. But then thats what makes them the fun and unique girls that I love so very much. We also had a Pita lunch with Daddy. Fun day!

We also had a fun evening. The weather in Arizona is amazingly cool. Never do I remember being able to go bike riding in the evening in the middle of June. In fact, we open our windows at night to enjoy the low 70 - 80 degree weather. The monsoons started yesterday but we have yet to see the storms.

But for now, we enjoyed riding our bikes to Basha's for pizza and fruit, then a quick stop at the playground with Jack. Days like this make me realize how blessed we are to have happy and healthy children. That Marcus and I are strong and healthy as well. We are blessed to have a job and a beautiful home. We have a great family and are excited to see both sides in the next few weeks. What more can we ask for? Life is pretty darn great for the Maloneys. (knock on wood)

Cooling Off!

Oh what do you do in Arizona when it is hot? You go and play in the water. Sometimes its fun to go somewhere to play even though we have the pool. Today we went to play with the Conrads in the park. It was a fun time! We also go to the Summer Movie program on Thursdays. We are trying to stay busy until we go to Utah and Michigan. This summer will be gone before we even know it.

Friends for Jack?

These puppies were being sold on the side of the road. The girls are so "into" dogs that we had to stop. We love Jack but sometimes he is so lonely we feel sad. We thought it would be fun to get him a friend to play with. We took this picture to text to Daddy. Four little puppy dog faces!! It didn't work. So we had to leave them where we found them. If we weren't going to be gone for most of the summer we might have done it. So Jack will just have to be a loner for a while longer. Sorry Jack!!!

The New Car!

OK, so we lease our cars. That can be good but there are definitely negatives. The worst part is at the end of the lease, we have to go car shopping. Our kids love going from dealership to dealership. All of them seem to offer popcorn, soda, cookies, or some kind of treat. Its like Disneyland for kids. Most have toy rooms and DVDs. But for Marcus and I its stressful and challenging.

This time, however, it went quite smooth. We were going to see the movie UP with the kids and it was too crowded. We decided to go to a later movie and had to kill time. Marcus suggested we go look at cars "just for fun". A few hours later we were Honda Mini Van owners once again. Our kids had all the snacks and popcorn they could stand and life was good.

The summer is passing quickly. I am trying to get my preschool ready to go. I am excited for it. We are looking forward to our Michigan trip and to spend some time in Utah. Before we know it, it will be time for school. Gotta get out to the pool!!!!
